So, no matter how far we may feel from the Lord, we must always<\/span> <b> to remember Him<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This verse speaks of the physical distance, far from the land of Jerusalem the psalmist feels sad; this being a metaphor for the sadness of feeling far from God.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Psalm 42:7<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One abyss calls to another at the voice of your waterfalls;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All thy waves and thy billows have passed over me.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Making another metaphor about water, the author treats the problems as if they were waves and he was sinking under each one of them. The power of the mind is something that we cannot comprehend, so if we have it with the Lord in mind, we will achieve salvation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubibliaonline.com\/en\/faith-according-bible\/\">faith<\/a> the greatest wonders of this world have been done. In this verse we have three concepts related to the Lord that we should remember when we feel far from Him for any reason: <\/span><b>mercy, protection and life<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Psalm 42:9<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I will say to God, My rock, why hast thou forgotten me?<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why shall I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even if everything gets better, <\/span><b>the fight is long<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The Lord is our rock, our sustenance and in Him we can trust for everything. Our human condition makes us need it as much as food at our tables, faith being the spiritual thirst.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The psalmist already feels the presence of <\/span><b>God by his side<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">but his enemies are still oppressing him, a slow process with a difficult solution. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Psalm 42:10 and Psalm 42:11<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As one who wounds my bones, my enemies affront me,<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saying to myself every day: Where is your God?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why do you abate, O my soul,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And why are you troubled within me?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wait upon God; for I shall yet praise him,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My salvation and my God.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The last two verses repeat what has already been said above, even so, now we feel closer to God and we have enough strength <\/span><b>and we have enough strength<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to seek him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We must be patient when things are not going well, but walk with a firm step towards God. <\/span><b>Nothing will happen if nothing is done<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Let us surrender our hearts and trust to the Lord and with faith everything will work out. Have no doubt about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_wrote_Psalm_42\"><\/span><b>Who wrote Psalm 42<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no clear consensus on who wrote Psalm 42, which we find in the Old Testament of the Bible, specifically in the <\/span><b>Book of Psalms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some scholars claim that David wrote it, as well as almost all the other psalms in the book. On this occasion, it is believed that David wrote the psalm <\/span><b>during his exile<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Jerusalem, thus feeling alienated from the temple and from God because of his persecution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, others believe that, as the title of the psalm says, it was written by. <\/span><b>&#8220;the sons of Korah&#8221;.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Korah was a biblical character who rebelled against Moses many years before, although his descendants converted and served as servants of the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These worked on the music that was played in the temple in Jerusalem, having thus <\/span><b>musical knowledge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> enough to write this psalm.
