Only with this confidence will you obtain the protection of Our Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Psalm 31:13<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I hear the slander of many;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fear assaults me from all sides,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">while they conspire together against me<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and they plan to take my life.<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verse 13 is a <strong>critical<\/strong><\/span><b>\u00a0point<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> David&#8217;s mood: he finds himself cornered, with very little chance of survival and in front of many people who want to kill him. However, he writes this psalm and reaffirms his attitude, as you will see in the next verses.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Psalm 31:14 and Psalm 31:15<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But I trust in you, Jehovah;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I say: &#8220;You are my God.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In your hand are my times!&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deliver me from the hands of my enemies and my persecutors.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the great low moment of the previous verse, David again turns to the Lord and repeats before the world that he has confidence in Him. This is the <\/span><b>central part<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Psalm 31 and you should pay close attention and try to see the importance of these words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the most critical moments, we cannot forget the Lord. And not only that, it is important to address him and <\/span><b>speak from the heart<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Prayer, deeds and Bible study must remain with us even when everything seems to be falling apart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you do so, all will be well again and the Lord will watch over you, so that you can be happy in a profound way. It may not be <\/span><b>something instantaneous. <\/b>The<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Lord rules when things should happen, but sooner or later everything will work out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until then, don&#8217;t lose heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Psalm 31:19<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;How great is your goodness,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that you have kept for those who fear you,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that you have shown to those who hope in you,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">before the sons of men!<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verse 19 is an exclamation of praise to the Lord. <\/span><b>Praise to the Lord, <\/b>He<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a great goodness to all those who trust in Him. The Lord has given us everything we have and should be grateful to Him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exclamations like this should be made more frequently to remember Our Lord, and thank Him for His works. <\/span><b>Thank Him for His works<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Psalm 31:24<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Be strong, all you who hope in the LORD,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and let your heart take breath.<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, the psalm ends with <\/span><b>a great piece of advice<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for all of us who follow God with our hearts and with the desire to create a better world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">David tells us <\/span><b>not to lose heart <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and continue with this precious mission of carrying the Word of God through our lives, making it known to those who have not had the opportunity, and always using it with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubibliaonline.com\/en\/verses-on-wisdom\/\">wisdom<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the Lord will come <\/span><b>all your strength<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to achieve whatever you want, as long as you work for the good. Fill yourself with confidence in Him and go ahead because you will have a thousand times more strength to overcome any adversity.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_wrote_Psalm_31\"><\/span><b>Who wrote Psalm 31<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we have already mentioned, before going to the biblical commentary itself, we are going to give you four indications that will help you to place Psalm 31 in its correct framework, so that you will be able to understand what is defined here as <\/span><b>trust in God<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like most psalms, the author of Psalm 31 is the king and prophet David. All his works are gathered in the <\/span><b>Book of Psalms <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the Old Testament, located between Job and Proverbs, in the group of sapiential books.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This name perfectly indicates the objective of this group of books: <\/span><b>to teach the faithful<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> how they should act in order to correspond to God. Thus, they should be taken as lessons to return to when life takes you to it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of the psalms, they are poetic compositions intended to be sung, very typical of the Old Testament. <\/span><b>Old Testament<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Almost all the ones in the Bible are by David, although there are some by Moses and Solomon, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psalm 31 is from David, as its title already indicates. David was <\/span><b>king of Israel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and also a prophet, coming to unify the two kingdoms under the same faith.
