Listen to me attentively, and eat of the good, and your soul will delight itself with fatness.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>3 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, the sure mercies of David.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>4 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behold, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and a teacher to the nations.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>5 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou hast not known, and nations that have not known thee shall run unto thee, for the LORD thy God&#8217;s sake, and for the Holy One of Israel&#8217;s sake, who hath honored thee.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>6 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>7 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return to the LORD, who will have mercy on him, and to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubibliaonline.com\/en\/god-accurate-bible\/\">God<\/a>, who will abundantly pardon.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>8 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>9 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><i>10 <\/i><\/b><i style=\"font-size: 16px;\">For as the rain and snow come down from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubibliaonline.com\/en\/description-heaven-bible\/\">heaven<\/a>, and return not thither, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, and give seed to him that soweth, and bread to him that eateth,<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>11 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>12 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For with joy shall ye go forth, and with peace shall ye return: the mountains and the hills shall lift up a song before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>13 <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead of the brier shall grow up cypress, and instead of the nettle shall grow up myrtle; and it shall be unto the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Explanation_and_meaning_of_Isaiah_55\"><\/span><b>Explanation and meaning of Isaiah 55<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this verse, the prophet Isaiah invites the most <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubibliaonline.com\/en\/needy-biblical-meaning\/\">needy<\/a> (thirsty)<\/strong>, those who are not able to afford the most basic resources. Aware that if one wants to gain eternal life or earn God&#8217;s blessings one must <strong>work hard and do good deeds,<\/strong> Isaiah invites these people to eat and drink without price. This being a great act of kindness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We should not spend money, effort and life on things that will not bring any benefit to our soul. The devil will try to divert us by offering us temporal pleasures that will not satisfy our soul like the eternal mercies of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Isaiah presents us with the condition for enjoying the blessings of eternal life: Hearing and coming to Him.
