And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf&#039;s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. 8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. 9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. 10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. 11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. 12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went. 13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. 14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. 15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. 16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. 18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. 19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above. 23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. 24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. 25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. 26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. 27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. 28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:640px;margin:5px auto;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>The vision of divine glory<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>1 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> And it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>2 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the fifth year of the deportation of king Jehoiakim, on the fifth day of the month,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>3 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The word of the LORD came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; the hand of the LORD came upon him there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>4 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And I looked, and, behold, there came from the north a stormy wind, and a great cloud, with a fire round about it, and round about it a brightness, and in the midst of the fire something like gleaming brass,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>5 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and in the middle of it the figure of four living beings. And this was their appearance: there was in them the likeness of a man.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>6 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each had four faces and four wings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>7 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And their feet were straight, and the sole of their feet like the sole of a calf&#8217;s foot; and they shone like highly polished brass.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>8 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under their wings, on their four sides, they had the hands of men; and their faces and their wings on their four sides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>9 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With their wings they joined each other. They did not turn as they walked, but each walked straight ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>10 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And the appearance of their faces was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of the four, and the face of an ox on the left side of the four, and the face of an eagle on the four.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>11 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is what their faces looked like. And they had their wings stretched out above, each one two, which were joined together; and the other two covered their bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>12 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And every man walked straight forward; whithersoever the spirit moved them to go, they went; and when they went, they turned not again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>13 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like a vision of burning coals of fire, walking among the living creatures; and the fire shone, and out of the fire went forth lightning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>14 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And the living creatures ran and returned in the likeness of lightning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>15 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While I was looking at the living creatures, behold, a wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, on the four sides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>16 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The appearance of the wheels and their work was similar to the color of the chrysolite. And all four had the same likeness; their appearance and their work were as a wheel in the midst of a wheel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>17 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When they walked, they moved to their four sides; they did not turn when they walked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>18 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And their hoops were high and dreadful, and full of eyes round about on all four.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>19 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And when the living creatures walked, the wheels walked beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>20 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whither the spirit moved them to go, they went; whither the spirit moved them to go, the wheels also arose behind them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>21 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When they walked, they walked, and when they stood, they stood; likewise when they arose from the earth, the wheels arose after them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>22 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And over the heads of the living creatures there appeared an expanse like a wondrous crystal, stretched out above their heads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>23 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And under the expanse their wings were straight, stretching out one toward the other; and each had two wings covering his body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>24 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And I heard the sound of their wings as they went, like the sound of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the noise of a multitude, like the noise of an army. When they stopped, they lowered their wings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>25 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And when they stood and lowered their wings, a voice was heard from above the expanse above their heads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>26 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And above the expanse that was over their heads there was the likeness of a throne that looked like a sapphire stone; and on the likeness of the throne there was the likeness of a man sitting on it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>27 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And I saw an appearance like the appearance of glowing bronze, like the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of its loins even upward; and from its loins even downward, I saw that it seemed like fire, and that it had brightness round about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>28 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the rainbow seems to be in the clouds on the day it rains, so was the appearance of the radiance all around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was the vision of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah. We really enjoyed reading it because of the ease of the words and how fun it is to understand the different stories.
