This important book comes after its namesake 1 Chronicles, with which it formed a single book in antiquity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, the events narrated in both books are chronologically contiguous, so that <\/span><b>there is no discontinuity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between the first book and the second. They were probably divided to shorten the length of the texts, which at that time were written in scrolls and not in the books we know today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The content you can find in the Books of Chronicles is the <\/span><b>history of Judaism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Genesis with Adam and Eve to the capture of the kingdom of Judah by the Babylonian empire, although all this in a more schematic way and more as a historical account.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of the things you find in 1 and 2 Chronicles serve to give context to all the previous books of the Old Testament. For example, it appears in the<\/span><b>\u00a0genealogy from Adam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to David; thus being able to understand the link between the two and follow the thread of events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today&#8217;s chapter, 2 Chronicles 15, deals with a part of the <strong>reign<\/strong><\/span><b>\u00a0of Asa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Judah. This occurred around 900 B.C., being the fifth king after David. Thus, it is even less possible to determine the author or authors who conceived this work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the most widely accepted hypotheses is that both books were initially written b<\/span>y <b>Ezra. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ezra, a leader of the Jewish people after the Babylonian captivity and who enjoys a book of his own in the Old Testament titled with his name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This hypothesis is possible because the style of writing in Chronicles is very similar to that of the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, placing them chronologically in <\/span><b>the same period<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and probably written by the same author.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bible_study_of_2_Chronicles_15\"><\/span><b>Bible study of 2 Chronicles 15<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now let&#8217;s take a closer look at <\/span><b>chapter 2 Chronicles 15 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">thus culminating this article and learning what the Lord has to say to us in this text.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This fragment narrates the <\/span><b>religious reforms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> king Asa did in the kingdom of Judah. At that time, many of the inhabitants of Israel had turned away from God and were worshiping false idols and filling their lives with materialism, vices and envy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was so to the point that King Asa&#8217;s own mother was removed from her position as queen mother for possessing and worshiping a pagan idol as you can read in <\/span><b>2 Chronicles 15:16<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Asa&#8217;s mission was to restore the faith of his fellow citizens, and to do so he had to restore their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubibliaonline.com\/en\/bible-verses-hope\/\">hope<\/a> for a better time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The key to the chapter is found in the following verses <\/span><b>2 Chronicles 15:2-4 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In which Asa tells us that if we look for God we will find Him. This is also a very valid message for our time, and one that non-believers should also be aware of.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin, The LORD will be with you, if ye be with him: and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you also.&#8221; (2 Chronicles 15:2)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is known that many people do not believe in God because they say that He does nothing for them. However, it is <\/span><b>when you seek God<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> when you realize how much the Lord has done and does for us, and how much we must love Him to try to give Him back one iota of what He gives us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Faith requires a little <\/span><b>effort of one&#8217;s own <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is not the easy way.
